3 police killed, civilians wounded in Kunduz blast

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two policemen were killed and three civilians wounded in a bomb blast in northern Kunduz province on Tuesday, an official said.

Police spokesman Hijratullah Akbari told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred in Kohna Froshi area of Kunduz City, the provincial capital, at around 11:00am today.

He said one policeman and three civilians were injured when the explosives planted on a motorcycle went off.

But another security official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok that two policemen were killed and three civilians wounded in the bomb blast.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
