KABUL (Pajhwok): Public movement in capital Kabul will be banned during Eid days in order to curtail the spread of coronavirus, but restrictions will ease down after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Over 8,500 people infected with coronavirus in Afghanistan out of them 193 died while 939 others recovered.

Kabul Governor Mohammad Yaqoub Haidari said that public movement will not be allowed during Eid days so that people could be stopped from visiting friends and family members.

He said strict restrictions will be imposed from the dawn Edi first day and continue till three days.

He said no one will be allowed to go out of Kabul City or enter to Kabul City from districts.

Haidari said garment shops, food shops, restaurants and construction related industry will be allowed to open from morning to 2:00pm.

Haidari said gold markets will remain open in odd days of the week from afternoon to evening and individuals who deliver their goods to Kabul could come from 5:00 to 8:00.

Kabul governor also issue time intervals for different people with different business in Kabul.
