KABUL have hailed the release of 900 prisoners of the militant movement by the Ashraf Ghani administration as good progress.
“The release of 900 prisoners by the other side is good progress. The Islamic Emirate will release a remarkable number of prisoners soon,” the spokesperson for Taliban’s political office in Qatar said.
In a decree, President Ashraf Ghani ordered the release of the Taliban inmates from prisons in 18 different provinces of the country -- notably from Pul-i-Charkhi and Bagram jails.
