SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): Three people were killed and nine others including women were wounded in a roadside bombing followed by a traffic accident in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said.
Police spokesman Noor Agha Faizi told Pajhwok Afghan News that three young people were killed when a roadside bomb ripped through their vehicle in Sari Pul City, the provincial capital, on Tuesday.
Three women and a man were injured in the blast, he said, accusing the Taliban of emplacing the hidden device.
However, the Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
Faizi said following the blast, relatives of the victims were taking the dead and injured to hospital in a rickshaw which collided with a car on the way, injuring five people, including men and women.
The injured in both incidents were shifted to Sar-i-Pul hospital and that their condition was said to be satisfactory.
