The government was expected to introduce its ministers designate for all cabinet posts to the parliament for confidence vote until June 5.
President Ghani during his oath taking ceremony as president on March 10 said that the ministers will be introduced soon to the lower house for trust vote, but the cabinet is yet to be completed.
Wolesi Jirga speaker and members, several times asked the government to introduce its nominees for the cabinet posts, but many of ministries are still led by acting officials.
Zia Ul Haq Amrkhel, State Minister in Parliamentary Affairs told Pajhwok Afghan News June 16 had said that the government would fill all cabinet posts in a period of a week.
He added President Ghani would announce his picks for the cabinet and their documents would be reviewed by relevant organs before being referred to the lower house for confidence vote.
Amarkhel added that Dr. Abullah Abdullah will also introduce his own nominees for and share his list with Ghani and then introduced to the parliament for trust vote.
Nominees for ministries of foreign affairs, education Bank have named by the government.
Meanwhile, a list of ministers designates believed to be picks of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah is also circulating on social media, but it is not confirmed officially.
About a month ago, a political deal was signed between President Ghani and his chief rival, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, head of High Reconciliation Council, but none of them has so far introduced their nominees for all vacant cabinet posts.
Ghain’s spokesman, Dawa Khan Menapal told Pajhwok that they are working seriously on completing the cabinet list and soon their picks would be introduced to the lower house for trust vote in the near future.
