KABUL (Pajhwok): Two security officials were killed in separate incidents of violence in Kabul on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz told Pajhwok Afghan News that unidentified gunmen shot dead a security officer in the Bagrami area of Kabul at around 7:00 am.
Faramarz did not provide details but another source told Pajhwok the victim was an Afghan National Army (ANA) colonel.
Faramarz also said one individual was killed by a magnetic bomb attacked to a vehicle in Qargha area of Kabul at 8:00am. He did not specify the identity of the dead.
But another source, speaking on condition of anonymity, identified the slain officer as Abdul Haseeb, a Kabul Police Academy official.
The official came under attack on his way to work. There was no claim of responsibility for the attacks.
