KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani during his trip to western Herat province heard problems of local youths, civil society activists, security officials, traders and representatives of traders, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Friday.
On the head of a high level delegation, Ghani arrived to Heart on Thursday to evaluate the general situation of the province.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that President Ashraf Ghani met with youths and civil society activists of Herat province on Thursday evening.
First vice-president, Amrullah Saleh who was accompanying the president in the trip, stressed on peace and solidarity and said that the key of peace was with Afghans.
Later, youths and civil society activists shared their views and problems with president.
The president said that youths were the owners of this country and they should take more responsibility for serving their people and motherland.
Ghani thanked youths for their suggestions and demands and said relevant organs would be directed to take action on the regard.
The president also met with a number of soldiers of 207th Zafar Military Corps in Herat.
He assured security forces of full support of the government and said their rights and privileges were being delivered on time.
The president also heard the problems and suggestions of Herat traders and said that all border ports of the country would be invested and more attention would be paid to infrastructural development of the province.
