9 ANA personnel wounded in Balkh clash

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Security officials say nine Afghan National Army (ANA) personnel have been wounded in a clash with the Taliban in the Sholgara district of northern Balkh province.

Hanif Razaee, spokesman of the 209th Shaheen Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News the ANA personnel and Taliban clashed in Sholgara late on Saturday.

He said six ANA personnel were wounded in the firefight. They are said to be in stable condition.

On the other hand, a reliable source revealed to this news agency that nine ANA personnel were wounded in the battle.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
