Checkpoints to be set up for security of railroad project

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Public Protection Enterprise (PPE) said on Tuesday had held a coordination meeting on security for the Herat-Khawaf railway line.

Public Protection Enterprise Director-General Gen. Khushal Saadat and senior Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) officer Eng. Abdul Bari Sidiqui discussed boosting security for the track’s 4^th section of the first phase project.

A statement from PPE said Sidiqui shared details regarding the value of Herat-Khawaf railway line and standard implementation of the project.

Gen. Khushal Saadat assured the Public Protection Enterprise would ensure security for the fourth section of the first phase of the railroad project.

Saadat added new security checkpoints would be established to enhance security for the railway project. The posts will help ensure better implementation of the project.

The first three parts of the railway line were completed and inaugurated a few months ago. The fourth part of the railway track will be completed in the coming solar year.
