KABUL (Pajhwok): An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the open-ended Richter scale rattled the capital of northeastern Badakhshan province on Thursday morning.

The predawn tremors were felt in Faizabad around 12:02am, the news agency ANI reported, citing the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The mild earthquake was measured at a depth of 135 kilometres on the Richter scale.

However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property in the remote provincial capital.
