86 people die from Covid-19 in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Thursday said 1940 new positive Covid-19 cases were registered in the last 24 hours across the country.

The ministry in a statement said 5,048 people underwent tests since Wednesday and the virus was detected in 1940 people, pushing the overall tally to 122,156.

The ministry this time did not publish positive cases of Covid-19, deaths and recoveries in each province but said 86 people lost their lives to the virus during the period, with the total death toll reaching 5,048.
