KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Department of Meteorology on Sunday forecast 10 to 20mm rain and flooding in 13 provinces of the country.
Spokesman of Department of Meteorology NasimMuradi in an exclusive chat with Pajhwok Afghan News said there was a possibility of relatively heavy rain and floods, lightning and wind in 13 provinces of the country next Sunday and Monday (July 11, 12).
“There is a possible report of rainfall in Indian Ocean which has entered Afghanistan from southeast, affecting some provinces and is likely that the rains would be relatively heavy and would cause floods in the provinces,” he added.
Muradi said the provinces with possibility of rains and floods are Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Baghlan, Samangan, Bamyan, Kabul, Laghman, Nangarhar, Badakhshan and Logar.
The source added that precipitation was to be 10 to 20mm in these provinces.
