5 of a family killed in Nangarhar rocket strike

KABUL (Pajhwok): Five members of a family were killed including children in a rocket attack in eastern Nangarhar province, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

The ministry said on its Facebook page that militants fired rockets at a civilian house in the Sur Kamar area of Nangarhar's Spin Ghar district last night, killing five members of a family, including children, and injuring two others.

The ministry said the militants did not respect any religious values and were causing grief to people even during the days of Eid.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
