Nighttime movement banned in 31 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday announced banning night time movement of people 31 provinces except Kabul, Nangarhar and Panjshir.

The ban was imposed in order to control the security situation, said Ahmad Zia Zia, the ministry’s deputy spokesman, in a voice message to the media.

Excluding the three provinces, no one was allowed in the remaining provinces to travel from 10pm to 4am, he said.

Previously only southern Kandahar province there has been ban on people’s movement at night.

A resident of Baghlan province, Kamal Khan, said they often took patients to hospital at night but now police would harass them if they did so.

He said the government to take into confidence all people in this regard.
