KABUL (Pajhwok): Facebook has shut down the accounts of former president Ashraf Ghani and his chief of staff Dr. Fazli, it emerged yesterday. However, the FB account of national security advisor Hamdullah Mohib is active.
The three left Kabul on Sunday for an unknown destination, allowing the Taliban to overrun Kabul unopposed.
Ashraf Ghani made his last post on the Facebook on Sunday, explaining why he left Kabul. The twitter account of Ghani, Dr. Fazli and Mohib are active but they have so far made no post on them.
Political affairs expert Shafique Hamdard told Pajhwok Afghan News that it was stunning that the president disappeared suddenly and his Facebook account was shut.
He added: “I am concerned that nothing bad has happened to the President because we have had the mysterious assassinations of Noor Mohammad Tarakai and Hafizullah Amin in the past. “
