India to vaccinate Afghan returnees for polio

KABUL (Pajhwok): India announced on Sunday returnees from Afghanistan would be vaccinated for free against the wild poliovirus.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also shared a photo where returnees could be seen getting jabs at the Delhi International Airport.

The minister tweeted “We have decided to vaccinate Afghanistan returnees with free polio vaccine – OPV & fIPV, as a preventive measure … “

On Sunday, PTI news agency reported, 168 people, including 107 Indians, were evacuated from Kabul.
