JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed and as many Taliban were injured in a bomb blast in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Sunday.
The blast occurred in the limits of fifth police district at around 10:00am close of a bus station.
The target of the blast was a Taliban vehicle but civilians were killed as a rickshaw was driven close to the Taliban vehicle.
Health officials in Jalalabad on the condition of anonymity said two bodies and as many injured were shifted in the blast. Deceased were two members of a family, according to the source.
Separately, the Breshana Shirkat Director for Nangarhar Ghulam Haidar Faqirzai on his facebook page wrote that another blast took place in the limits of first police district. He said the incident caused damaged to electricity cables and cut off electricity supply to the Governor House.
