JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and five others wounded as a result of a bomb explosion in eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday.
The blast hit a pick-up vehicle of security forces in Shah Burgan Agha Zirat area in limits of 8th police district of Jalalabad City today.
Sher Wali, an eyewitness, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the explosion ripped through the pick-up vehicle, causing casualties to the Taliban and ordinary people.
A provincial health official speaking on the condition of anonymity confirmed the blast and said five injured and two dead bodies had been evacuated to the hospital.
He said the injured included two Taliban and the rest were ordinary people and workers of a factory.
Provincial security officials have so far said nothing in this regard. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
