Special unit created to guard educational institutes

KABUL (Pajhwok): A special unit has been created by the government to secure educational institutions.

Deputy Minister of Higher Education Lutfullah Khairkhwa hailed the creation of the special unit as an important step.

A statement from the Ministry of Higher Education read the personnel of the unit were part of its special forces.

Members of the unit are said to have completed a month-long training programme at the 313th Central Corps.

Ministry of Defence officials, addressing the new graduates, said the protection of educational institutions was as important task.
