1 killed, 10 injured in Helmand traffic accidents

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): One person was killed and 10 others were injured in three separate road accidents in southern Helmand province, officials said on Tuesday.

The incidents took place in Greshk, Babaji and Nahr-e-Saraj districts, said Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Riaz, spokesman for the provincial information and culture department.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News a civilian was killed and two others were injured when a pick up vehicle overturned in Loy Manda area of ​​Babaji district.

He added that a car collided with a vehicle in Greshk district yesterday, injuring seven people. He also said that a traffic accident took place in Nahr-e-Siraj district late yesterday but no casualties were reported.

He said the injured had been taken to hospitals in Lashkargah, the provincial capital, and Greshk district and doctors said their condition was out of danger.
