Weapons smuggling attempt frustrated in Nangarhar

KABUL (Pajhwok): Military officials on Monday claimed frustrating an attempt at smuggling weapons to neighbouring Pakistan.

The arms were seized in the Dur Baba district of eastern Nangarhar province, a spokesman for the 201st Khalid bin Waleed Corps said.

Wahidullah Mohammadi was quoted as saying by the state-run Bakhtar news agency that the security forces recovered 34 weapons and detained the suspected smuggler.
