KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Anas Haqqani, a member of the Islamic Emirate’s Qatar office, on Wednesday said girls’ schools would be opened in the near future.
Addressing a youth gathering in Khost province, he said government could never stand in the way of what was not forbidden in Islam and Sharia.
Haqqani added that it was safe to say that in the near future, schools would be opened for girls across the country and they would be able to continue their education normally.
“One should not think that a legitimate work will be stopped. No one should worry about that.”
“Afghans are peace-loving people,” he told the gathering. But every time they are forced to fight because of foreign aggression.
“Outsiders always try to inculcate the idea of revenge in the hearts of Afghans,” he believed. But he called on the people to work for national unity instead of hatred.
He said that there was a clear war going on against the unity and brotherhood of Afghans.
Anas Haqqani called on the authorities, especially the security forces, to refrain from mistreating civilians and in the same breath he called on the people to cooperate with the government.
