No military incident happened in Panjsher, Takhar: Mujahid

KABUL (Pajhwok): ‘Resistance Front’ captured two districts in northern Takhar and central Panjsher provinces and inflicted casualties on Taliban forces, a source claimed, but the caretaker government rejected the claim as baseless.

Sibghatullah Ahmadi, who introduced himself as a spokesman for the “Resistance Front” tweeted that their gunmen had captured Abshar district of Panjsher and Warsaj district of Takhar and inflected causalities on security personnel.

Zabihullah Mujahid, deputy minister of information and culture, tweeted: “No military incident occurred in Panjsher or Takhar and some rebel circles who are making such claims are baseless and people no need to worry.”

“Thousands of security forces are stationed in Panjsher, Takhar and other places and there is no room for enemy’s movement.”
