KABUL (Pajhwok): A major Indian university has allowed Afghan students of the final semester to take online examinations, a media report said on Saturday.
The Times of India reported there were about 80 Afghan students in the Punjab University, with 60 to 70 in city colleges affiliated to the varsity.
Awaiting the issuance of Indian visas, the students have been stuck in Afghanistan for nearly 10 months.
As students of the final semester have been permitted to take online exams, a decision on students of other semesters was yet to be made, the newspaper explained.
A senior university official said Punjab University exams would commence next month. Practical exams will start from June 16 and written exams from June 24.
