KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan national cricket team on Wednesday left for Zimbabwe to play three one-day internationals and as many Twenty20 internationals with the hosts.
The Afghan side is scheduled to play three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals against Zimbabwe from June 4 to 14.
The national cricket team left for Zimbabwe this afternoon, according to a statement issued by the cricket board.
The statement added that the Afghan team will do practice for a week in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, ahead of the formal encounters.
According to the Cricket Board, the ODI series is part of the International Cricket Council's Super League tournament aimed at paving the way for the 2023 World Cup.
