He said during the first 17 days of August, 3536 people were tested positive for coronavirus among 18,370 suspicious cases while eight patients died from it.
Comparing figures of the last two months shows an increase in the positive cases of COVID-19.
Dr. Zaman blamed the increasing positive Covid-19 cases on people’s negligence, saying if the situation continued, the figures would be doubled until the end of August.
Zaman advised people to wash their hands repeatedly, keep social distance, use masks and should not participate in gatherings. He added that the ministry of public health will increase awareness about the disease.
