FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): A man has murdered his wife and mother-in-low in the Kohistan District of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Sunday.
Information and Cultural Affairs Director Maazuddin Ahmadi, told Pajhwok Afghan News, the incident happened on Saturday evening in the Vakhandio village.
He said: “According to the available reports the alleged murderer Abdul Hadi, who had separated from his wife nearly a month ago through court, killed his wife and mother-in-low and manage to flee the scene”.
Police launched investigation to unearth murder, the criminal will be arrested and handed over to judicial institutions, he added.
A local resident Qari Faiz Rahman Awa said, Abdul Hadi committed the murder after he found out that his brother-in-low was not at home.
He linked the incident with family violence.
