Paktika gathering underlines importance of unity

SHARANA (Pajhwok): The residents of the southeastern Paktika province have said all different tribes in the country were one nation and foreign conspiracies could not divide this nation on ethnic, linguistic and tribal bases.

Addressing a gathering titled ‘tribalism is not important, we are one nation’ some speakers alleged certain groups in Afghanistan for fueling ethnic, tribal and linguistic differences.

Haji Akbar, a tribal elder said that some parties try to spread ethnic, linguistic and sectarian discrimination among Afghans inside and outside the country and pave the way for disunity of the nation and civil wars.

Haji Akbar accused the US, its allies and the opposition “of Islamic Emirate” and said that the recent attacks and killing of Afghan scholars was their actions who try to create obstacles and conspiracies for the current regime.

Ha said: “All Pashtons, Hazaras, Tajiks and other tribes made this nation, no one can divide it”. He asked the people to support the current system and stand against the conspiracies of the others.

Abed, a university lecturer said that the religion and culture of Afghanistan is one, no need to any division. There are no parties in Islam, the nation must not be divided and all Afghans must work with unity for the reconstruction of the country, he added.

Zaker Nayab, a senior official of Information and Culture department, said that some countries try to show a false image of Afghanistan through some media outlets and create obstacles.

Islamic Emirate has the support of the people and will not allow anyone to enforce their nefarious designs.
