6 injured in Maidan Wardak collision

MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Six people were injured in a traffic accident in the Saidabad district of central Maidan Wardak province on Saturday.

The accident took place at around 1:40pm in Dashti Top area when two cars collided head-on, said Public Health Department official Ahmad Zia Zahin.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News six people who were injured in the collision were taken to the Dashti Top health center for treatment.

Without giving further details, he said the injured were in stable condition.

Traffic accidents frequently occur on the Kabul-Herat highway that passes through Maidan Wardak province. Local officials blame such accidents on the rundown condition of the road and carelessness of drivers.
