The Afghanistan Journalists Centre on Friday in a statement said that Noori was held by the intelligence personnel and he was tortured during detention.
The source cited Noori as saying that he was tortured by security forces. He and his brother were released after a couple of days and nights through mediation of local elders.
The statement said that Noor was able to leave the country and currently he was living in one of the neighboring countries.
The ‘Islamic Emirate’ Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said: “The individual Zabihullah Noor has been arrested in connection to weapon in his possession and the claim regarding torture is not true. He was with the intelligence personnel for two days for investigation and then released.”
