Missing youth found stabbed to death in Ghazni

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A young man who went missing two days ago along with his car has been found dead in southern Ghazni province, police said on Monday.

Police spokesman Khalid Al-Sahari, told Pajhwok that the body of a 22-year-old youth named Omeedullah was found last night in the "Laghriyo" area in the 6th security district of Ghazni city.

He said Omeedullah left home in his car two days ago in "Qala Qadam" area of Ghazni city and was found stabbed to death by unknown persons who stole his car.

He said no one had been arrested so far in connection with the murder, but an investigation was underway.

Ghazni Civil Hospital director Baz Muhammad Himmat also told Pajhwok Afghan News Omeedullah’s body was brought to the hospital and he had been stabbed with a knife.

Pajhwok tried to get the opinion of family members of the deceased, but they refused to talk.

But Nusratullah, a resident of the area, told Pajhwok that Omeedullah would remain busy in his daily works and had no problem with anyone.

According to him, Omeedullah got married a year ago and has a three-month-old daughter.

He demanded that the perpetrators of the incident should be arrested and given severe punishment

This is not the first incident of its kind in Ghazni, but similar incidents have taken place recently, which have worried local residents.
