Public health minister off to Qatar on week-long trip

KABUL (Pajhwok): At the head of a high-level delegation, Public Health Minister Dr. Qalandar Ebad on Thursday left for Qatar on a week-long trip.

A statement from the Ministry of Public Health said Dr. Ebad would meet Qatari officials on the coordination of health services.

Capacity building of Afghan doctors and investment in Afghanistan’s health sector will also come up discussions at talks between the two sides.

During his six-day stay in the Gulf state, the ministry said, Dr, Ebad would also visit a number of health facilities in Qatar.
