KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Examination Authority has announced the schedule for university entrance exams.
The authority wrote on its twitter page that this year’s exam will be general like last year, but next year it will be specialized again.
National Examination Authority head Sheikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani told Bakhtar news agency that the next year’s Kankor exam would be specialized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and students would sit the test exclusively in social, scientific and medical sciences.
This year, the National Examination Authority will also take the entrance exam from private students.
Baqi said the forms of private universities were yet to be submitted to the National Examination Authority, but enough time remained to take the exams.
The National Examination Authority wrote on its Twitter page today that the current 1402 solar year entrance test would be conducted in five rounds according to the schedule.
The first round will take place in 11 provinces where the biometric registration process will be held on July 18 and 19 and the test will be taken on July 20 and 21.
The first round will take place in Bamyan, Baghlan, Paktia, Takhar, Jawzjan, Khost, Faryab, Logar, Daikundi, Sari Pul and Ghor provinces.
The second round will take place Badghis, Ghazni, Kapisa, Kunar, Nangarhar and Maidan Wardak provinces and the third round in Uruzgan, Balkh, Paktika, Samangan and Nimroz provinces.
The fourth round will be held in Kabul and in the fifth round includes miscellaneous exams and foreign graduates.
The dates for second, third, fourth and fifth rounds will be announced later.
