PUL-I-KHUMARI (Pajhwok): One person was killed and four others were injured when their car plunged into a 50-meter deep ravine in Khanjan district of northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, police said.
In a statement, Baghlan police headquarters said the corolla type vehicle fell into a gorge in Barnda area of the district on Wednesday morning.
The statement said one person lost his life and four others sustained injuries in the accident.
Meanwhile, Qari Nazirullah Abidi, traffic department manager, confirmed the accident and the casualties and said the car fell into a 50-meter deep ravine in north Salang area.
He said the victims were residents of Imam Sahib district of Kunduz and were travelling to Kabul.
The incident came three weeks after a truck overturned in the same area, leaving six people dead and injured.
