KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) on Sunday said 25 more Afghans have been released after spending one to six months in jails in Pakistan.
The MoRR wrote on its X handle that 25 Afghan prisoners after being released from Pakistani jails had returned to the county via Torkham crossing.
The MoRR quoted Torkham border officials as saying that the mentioned people spent one to six months in Pakistani jails.
It said these people were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance after their registration with the Refugee Department.
On August 23, seven Afghan migrants, including women and children, were freed from Karachi police custody.
