PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistani immigration officials at Torkham have barred two tourists hailing from Russia and Kazakhstan from entering Afghanistan.
Lizunov Viacheslav from the Russian Federation and his female companion Grishkova Violetta were stopped crossing into Afghanistan on Saturday.
Dawn quoted Torkham-based immigration officials as saying that the visa of both foreigners had run out. Violetta had his visa expired a day earlier while Viacheslav overstayed in Pakistan for 17 days.
“We allowed Grishkova Violetta to cross over to Afghanistan but she was not willing to leave her partner alone and thus they both went back,” officials told the newspaper.
