KABUL (Pajhwok): Japan’s Ambassador Takayoshi Kormaya says his country is trying to encourage interaction between Afghanistan and the international community.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Higher Education Minister Neda Mohammad Nadeem in Kabul, said the a spokesman for the ministry.
Hafiz Ziaullah Hashmi wrote on his X handle le, Kormaya said his country assisted Herat earthquake survivors and was ready to help Afghanistan in crisis situations.
On Tuesday, Japan announced one million US dollars in aid to the victims of the Herat earthquake.
In addition to the completion of Nakamura’s projects in Afghanistan, the ambassador assured cooperation on improving Afghanistan’s education system.
For his part, Nadeem said the world should also take part in the reconstruction of Afghanistan in addition to the aid in emergency situations.
