Qatari tourist inks pact to legally hunt birds in Faryab

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A Qatari tourist, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jatham, has signed a three-year contract with the Ministry of Information and Culture to legally hunt some migratory births in northern Faryab province.

The Governor House in a statement said Governor Damla Mohammad Shoaib Resalat met with Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jatham, who arrived in the province at the head of a delegation of foreign tourists from Qatar on Wednesday evening.

The statement said the purpose of the Qatari tourists’ trip to Faryab was to legally hunt some birds in Andkhoi and Qaramqul districts and in this regard they signed a three-year contract with the Ministry of Information and Culture.

The dignitaries urged the provincial administration to ensure their security based on the agreement and for three years, residents of the mentioned districts should not disturb them while hunting birds.

Resalat promised provision of security and other requirements under the contract.
