7 killed, 20 wounded in Kabul explosion

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least seven people have been killed and 20 others wounded in a blast that targeted a public transport bus in the Dasht-i Barchi area of Kabul, says a police official.

Police spokesman Khalid Zadran confirmed the casualties from Tuesday’s explosion to Pajhwok Afghan News. He said security forces rushed to scene and were investigating the incident.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, whose victims were transferred to hospital. Area residents said the blast was powerful and the toll could be higher.
