FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Different development projects worth more than $316,000 are being implemented in the Gulistan district of western Farah province, local officials say.
Rehabilitation of 16 wells, two clean water supply schemes, four irrigation water storage facilities, five check dams and digging of three Karez schemes are among the projects.
The projects would be completed in three months, Rural Rehabilitation and Development Director Mufti Mohammad Nasim Sarhang told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The projects are being funded by Solidarités International, a non-profit organisation working in areas of conflict and natural disasters, according to the official.
