TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The Department of Commerce and Industry in central Uruzgan province has started issuing licences to industrialists and private firms.
Commerce and Industry Department Director Mohammad Dawood Shaheen told Pajhwok Afghan News industrialists and traders in the province could easily obtain operational licences.
He said previously industrialists and traders had to travel to capital Kabul or other provinces to get licences, but now the facility was being provided in their own province.
Meanwhile, a number of businesspeople expressed the happiness over obtaining operational licences in their home province.
Sediqullah, a trader who came to the department to get a licence for his firm, said: “Previously, we had to travel to Kandahar province, which caused us to waste more time and money.”
According to the department, they are currently giving licences to 16 types of businesses.
