22 killed, 28 wounded in Badakhshan accidents last month

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): At least 22 people have been killed and 28 others injured as a result of traffic accidents in northeastern Babakhshan province last month, officials said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar told Pajhwok Afghan News that 20 traffic accidents occurred in Faizabad city and districts last month, leaving 22 people including women and children dead and 28 others injured, blaming the mishaps on high speed and carelessness.

Kamgar asked drivers to follow traffic rules for their own and passengers’ safety and warned violators of legal action.
