Chinese company want to invest in Nangarhar’s agriculture

JALALABD CITY (Pajhwok): A Chinese Company has shown interest and provided assurance to invest in the agriculture sector of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.

Sayed Humayon Gharibmal, the spokesperson for the Canal Department of Nangarhar, told Pajhwok Afghan News officials of a Chinese company have held a meeting with Mawlavi Ghulam Rahman Kazim, head of the Canal Department today (Monday).

During the meeting, the company’s officials assured that they planned investment in the Canal’s agricultural lands keeping in mind improved security and the agricultural-friendly environment of Nangarhar.

Gharibmal said that the Canal Department head shared information with the visiting delegation about the agricultural lands of Nangarhar, its climate and the conditions required for investment.

He said the visiting Chinese investors were assured all kinds of support after which they showed investment interest.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier another Chinese company had invested in the precious stones and gems sector in Afghanistan.
