11 Afghans to vie in Maldives bodybuilding contest

KABUL (Pajhwok): The national bodybuilding and fitness team is scheduled to participate in the South Asian contests in the Maldives.

The Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (AFBBF) wrote on its Facebook page that 11 athletes of the national team would participate in the 14^th edition of the South Asian competition in the Maldives.

The 11 Afghan athletes are Muslim Shah Faqiri, Wahidullah Sediqi, Faramarz Ekramzada, Mohammad Mirwais Sakhi, Ahmad Naveed Ramin, Shahid Shaheem, Safiullah Ghafari, Nasibullah Azimi, Mehdi Aslami and Star Hussaini.

The Maldives is set to host the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship for the second consecutive year.

The 14th edition of the championship, scheduled for June 6-10, is held under the aegis of the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation and sanctioned by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (WBPSF).
