QALAT (Pajhwok): Two families have reconciled, ending 13 years of enmity in the Meezan district of southern Zabul province, an official said on Monday.
Sediqullah Wasiq, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the feud had surfaced 13 years ago between two families over a legal tiff. The enmity left one individual dead and several others injured.
Following mediation by tribal elders, religious scholars and influential area figures, the enmity turned into friendship, he added.
According to the official, both sides are happy with the amicable settlement of the 13-year feud are now living without fear.
Since its takeover in August 2021, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has ended hundreds of enmities in different parts of the country.
