AI calls on Pakistan to stop all deportations

KABUL (Pajhwok): Amnesty International (AI) has called on Pakistan to immediately stop all deportations and take back its decision.

On x.com, the global watchdog said: “This #WorldRefugeeDay, hear from Afghan refugees in Pakistan living under uncertainty since October 2023 when the Government of #Pakistan announced its decision to deport undocumented refugees from the country leading to harassment, detentions and fear upon their possible return to #Afghanistan.”

Amnesty called on the government to immediately stop all deportations and take back its decision.

World Refugee Day is an international day organised every year on 20 June by the United Nations. It is designed to celebrate and honour refugees from around the world.
