2 water schemes worth 14m afs being built in Kapisa

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Two clean drinking water supply networks are being constructed in Tagab district of central Kapisa province at a cost of 14 million afghanis.

Eng. Latifullah Fazli, an official of the provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects included drilling of two wells, construction of three water storages with each having the capacity to store 50 to 40 cubic meters of water.

Installing 70 solar panels and extending a 18521-meter pipeline were also part of the projects that would benefit 638 families in Miakhel and Shinki Khanan villages of Tagab district.

According to him, funded by UNICEF, the projects would take six months to complete and provide job opportunities to 700 people.
