KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Spymaster Mullah Abdul Haq Waseeq has said that the physical war has ended but the ideological and cold war was still underway and its target was the IEA personnel.

He said this during a reform gathering held in southern Kandahar province under the leadership of IEA Supreme Leader Mullah Habatullah Akhundzada.

Over 600 personnel of the Defence Ministry participated in the gathering; some high-ranking IEA official had expressed their views regarding the reform gathering.

Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that army protected government and the nation it should be loved by its people to the extent that the entire nation stand by them, Army personnel should not adhered to elements that provoke the nation.

Acting Defence Minister Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoub Mujahid said: “Since service in the Islamic army of an Islamic system is a responsibility and worship, and every responsibility and worship has its own rules and regulations, jurisprudent Mujahid must understand these rules and regulations so that his service in the Islamic army becomes worship.”

Mawlavi Yaqoub said: “If we look at the history of the Afghan army, an army can defend its land when it is trained in strong Islamic faith and thought, does not rely on foreign sources for funding and equipment, and is independent, have a national spirit, and its commanders are the purest cadres of the society, and there are no corrupt or undesirable persons in it.”

Acting Interior Minister Serajuddin Haqqani said: “Martyrs should not weaken us, religion belongs to God Almighty and He protects it, responsibilities should not separate us.”

He said: “We are all the same before the conquest and we are under the leadership of an emir. We are not the ones who fought for power. There was no problem between the Mujahideen, which was the blessing of unity and unity.”

IEA Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said army is the main pillar of a nation and a country, the source of regime’s failures is linked with the army.

He said unaware army is utilised without purpose, army should have the necessary awareness about incidents happening worldwide so that it is prepared to deal with the problems.
