FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and five others injured as a result of a traffic accident in western Ghor province on Monday morning, an official said.
Information and Culture Director Maulvi Mohammad Hamas told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place when a flying-coach overturned in the Kandiwal village of Ferozkoh, the provincial capital.
A woman and a child were killed and five others, including a woman, injured in the incident, the official said.
“The ill-fated vehicle, coming from the Ghorqand village of Ferozkoh, veered off the road and overturned and left a woman and a child dead and five others injured”.
According to the director, the injured were evacuated to the main provincial hospital. He would not comment on the condition of the wounded.
Damaged roads, high speed and recklessness of drivers were the reasons behind such accidents, Maulvi Hamas said.
