2 killed in separate violent incidents in Faryab

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed in separate incidents of violence in Maimana city, the capital of northern Faryab province, an official said on Monday.

Information and Culture Director Maulvi Shams Mohammadi told Pajhwok Afghan News a 54-year-old man was gunned down in 1st police district of provincial capital on Sunday.

Separately, a young man was killed with a sickle in Kohikhana area of Maimana on Sunday night, he said.

He saw personal enmities behind the murders and added six people had been arrested in connection with the cases.
